Phonak Naida B UP, Naida BR-RIC, & Naida B SP
The Phonak Naida B is currently available as an UltraPower model (size 675 battery), a small Rechargeable RIC model, and a Super Power model (size 13 battery). The Naida BR-RIC is the same power as the Audeo Rechargeable but it utilizes the new Adaptive Digital Contrast algorithim that benefits patients with greater hearing losses.

Appropriate for severe and profound hearing losses, the Naida B is the last model in the Belong series to be released...and it does include a number of new and beneficial features.

The new proprietary fitting formula, Adaptive Phonak Digital Contrast...developed to meet the listening needs of patients with more severe hearing losses. All digital hearing have the capacity to automatically regulate their volume in real time. Phonak's Adaptive Digital Contrast uses their latest proprietary algorithm to preserve and enhances speech information in all Naida B hearing aids...so it is now possible to get closer to the original speech signal and make lost details in speech more pronounced. Patients who are accustomed to older analog hearing aids will transition more easily to this new generation of digital hearing aids while benefitting from the enhanced audibility and protection that these hearing aids offer .

Phonak Naida RIC
B 30 This is the most cost effective Phonak hearing aid...but it is hardly basic. Built on the 20 channel Venture chip, it has 8 bands for programming the hearing aid to the patient's hearing loss. It has Phonak's state of the art anti-whistle system and automatic directionality to reduce background noise. The start-up program will be typically be automatic (AutoSense OS) but 2 additional programs are available.

B 50 The B 50 has 12 bands for programming the hearing aid to the patient's hearing loss. The Automatic program (AutoSense OS) automatically choses between memories for quiet settings, noisy settings with speech, and noisy settings without speech but this hearing aid also has 3 additional programs available.

B 70 The B 70 has 16 bands for programming the hearing aid to the patient's hearing loss. The automatic program (AutoSense) automatically chooses between 4 programs… quiet settings, noisy settings with speech, noisy settings without speech, and music. Th Binaural VoiceStream StereoZoom Program (speech in loud noise) is available as a manual program. This model has 4 additional programs if required.

B 90 The B90 is Phonak’s premium hearing aid. This hearing aid has 20 channels and for precise adjustability as well as 7 programs in the automatic (AutoSense OS) program. This hearing aid actually has 33 channels to support the advanced features. The Binaural VoiceStream StereoZoom feature for speech in loud noise is now automatic. This hearing aid also includes the AutoZoom feature (Speech in 360°) that automatically focuses on the loudest voice, regardless of the location; this feature can improve word recognition while driving in the car. The ‘Speech in Wind’ program is available as an additional program; this feature works great for people who need to communicate outdoors.

AutoSense OS accurately captures and analyzes the sound environment, then precisely blends feature elements from multiple programs in real time to provide a seamless listening experience.

Binaural VoiceStream Technology™ is the exclusive ability of Phonak hearing aids to stream the full audio bandwidth in real-time and bi-directionally for improved sound quality and unmatched speech understanding. This unique technology enables programs and features such as Speech in Wind, Speech in 360°, and DuoPhone.

More audibility of high-frequency sounds. The new and intelligent adaptive behavior of SoundRecover2 lowers high-frequency sounds only when high-frequency input is detected while maintaining sound quality of low and mid frequencies. As a result, the frequency range of audible sounds is increased and sound quality preserved.

Increased confidence and reliability.  The Naida Belong is composed of new carbon reinforced material and is highly water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating. This provides patients with the confidence of knowing their hearing aid will remain reliable in even the most demanding conditions.

The Phonak Naida B series hearing aids utilize Phonak's Belong chip platform. This 20 channel and extremely fast chip features the AutoSense automatic processing algorithm to select the best listening program depending on the listening environment. Multiple program choices are available for those patients who want to manually control their hearing aids.
